2017 Maruti S-Cross Facelift Coming This Festive Season
New Maruti S Cross 2017 facelift is certainly one of the important launches from the Indo-Japanese carmaker in India. Already on sale in Japan, the updated crossover might hit the Indian shores during this festive season. Though, no official word has been conveyed from the carmaker on the same. Suzuki claims that the new S Cross facelift is bolder, stronger and more efficient than the current one. For 2017 model year, the S-Cross has received subtle design and feature updates.
Interior of the crossover has also been classed up with new seat fabric and designed soft-touch dashboard pad. The facelifted model also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Mirrorlink and a revised instrument cluster with MID (multi information display). Maruti might also introduce a double sliding panoramic glass sunroof on the carline. Similar to the JDM-spec model, the one coming to India will get a new petrol powertrain and an automatic gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki entered the premium crossover segment with the S-Cross in 2015. This flagship model was also the first Maruti product to be retailed through NEXA dealerships in the country. Failing the company’s expectations, the crossover didn’t do well in the market despite being a good product. Aiming to rejuvenate its sales, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will introduce a mid-life facelift of the crossover.
