Mercedes-Benz has introduced the calendar year 2017’s first product – E-Class LWB (long-wheelbase) sedan – in the country. 2017 Mercedes E Class LWB Launched. While the petrol variant of the saloon comes with a price tag of Rs 56.15 lakh, the diesel version costs Rs 69.47 lakh. Aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai. India is the first market to receive the 2017 Mercedes E Class LWB with the right-hand drive system. 2017 Mercedes E Class LWB Launched. The long-wheelbase version is available only in China, but with the left-hand drive layout.

 Unlike the previous model, the new E Class sits on a 3,079mm long-wheelbase, which is longest in its segment. This also makes it the most spacious car of its league. For 2017, the saloon receives comprehensive exterior and interior upgrades. Save for the signature twin LED daytime running lights, the face of the 2017 Mercedes E Class LWB shares resemblance with the S-Class and the C-Class.

The car also gets electrical ORVMs with integrated turn lights, new alloy wheels and LED tail-lamps. While the overall length (by 43mm) and wheelbase (by 65mm) of the new E Class have been increased, the width and height are trimmed down by 2mm and 6mm respectively. The 2017 Mercedes E Class has also shed off 70kgs (approx.) of kerb weight.
