2017 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gets BSIV Engine & AHO Feature
Royal Enfield has introduced the 2017 model years of its popular Classic and Thunderbird range. The 2017 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has received a BSIV compliant engine and AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) feature. In fact, the dealer dispatch of the bike has already commenced across India. Since the BSIV regulations on two-wheelers have been enforced from 1st April 2017, most two-wheeler manufacturers have updated their product lineup in India.
The Classic 350 is the first product in REs lineup that is equipped with BSIV engine and AHO feature. Along with the regular model, the company has also updated the Classic 350 Redditch series launched in December 2016. This special range pays tribute to the original Royal Enfield motorcycles built in Redditch, UK. Powering the motorcycle is a BSIV compliant 346cc, single-cylinder engine producing 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque.

Equipped with new BSIV compliant engine and AHO function, the new Classic 350 comes at a price of Rs 1.49 lakh (on-road Delhi). As a reminder, the BS3 model was priced at Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This popular cruiser is powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder Twinspark, air-cooled engine, but it is now BS4 compliant motor. This unit is capable of producing a maximum power output of 19.8bhp at 5,250rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 4,000rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel of the bike via a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is claimed to have a top speed of 130kmph.
