It’s no secret that Mahindra is working on an all-new premium SUV based on the SsangYong LIV-2 concept. Internally known as Mahindra Y400, this new 7-seater SUV will sit above the carmaker’s flagship model XUV500 in India. The all-new Mahindra SUV will have its world premiere at the 2017 Seoul Motor Show next month. Prior to its unveiling, the company has released a couple sketches of the SUV revealing its exterior and interior layout.
The official sketches show the aggressive front bumper with chrome accents and grille, LED headlamps and LED DRLs, pronounced bonnet and bold shoulder creases. However, the India-spec version might receive subtle design tweaks such as an all-new grille with vertical elements. The cabin, too, might be loaded with several advanced connectivity features. Power source for the new Mahindra could be a 2.2L turbo diesel unit with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic gearbox options.
