New-generation Renault Duster To Debut In September
New-generation Dacia Duster (new Renault Duster 2017 in India) will make its global debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, which is scheduled for mid September. The information was shared by Carlos Ghosn, Chairman and CEO, Renault-Nissan Alliance. While the European launch of the new Renault Duster 2017 will happen early next year, it is reported to see a release in India in the first half of 2019.
Mr Hakim Boutehra, General Director of Renault Commercial Roumanie (RCR), said that the new Renault Duster 2017 will be a “Complete New” product. The 2017 model year will receive an all-new design and engine setup. Interestingly, this time around the vehicle will come with both 5-seats and 7-seats layouts. The Renault Duster 7 seater version, with two additional rear seats, will become a proper C-segment vehicle. This will also make it a more practical family vehicle.
Rumour also has it that the Renault Duster 7-seater will be based on a different platform than the regular one, and could be christened as ‘Grand Duster’. However, there is no official comment on the same. Just so you know, Renault India offers a small bench as an accessory on the existing Duster model. Reports suggest that the new Renault Duster 2017 will sit on the updated BO (Logan) platform.
New Renault Duster 2017 India Launch Date

The compact SUV will be first launched in the European market, followed by its India launch in early 2019. Though, Renault India hasn’t yet announced its arrival timeline. Reports suggest that the Duster 5-seater will be first one to arrive and the 7-seater model will come later.
