Nissan Terrano Facelift Set To Launch On 27th March 2017
Nissan India will launch the 2017 Terrano facelift on 27th March at an event in Delhi. This will be mid-life facelift of the compact SUV with comprehensive cosmetic upgrades on both exterior and interior. Mechanically, the new Nissan Terrano 2017 facelift will remain changed. That means, it will have the same 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre dCi diesel engines. Just so you, the Japanese carmaker introduced the AMT (automatic) version of the Terrano in August 2016.
On the exterior, the new Nissan Terrano 2017 might get a refreshing fascia with revised grille, headlamps and bumper along with lots of chrome. Other key updates could be a new paire of alloy wheels, updated taillights and re-designed rear bumper. Interior of the new Terrano will be more feature-rich than before.
For 2017, the car might receive a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation system. In order to improve safety levels of the vehicle, Nissan might introduce passenger-side airbag as standard fitment on the XE and XL grades.
As mentioned in the beginning, the engine setup for the new Nissan Terrano 2017 will be the same – 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre dCi diesel. The petrol motor makes power worth 102.5bhp against 145Nm of torque. The diesel motor, on the other hand, is tuned to generate two power outputs – 83.8bhp and 108.5bhp with 200Nm and 248Nm respectively. The new AMT version with 1.5-litre diesel and 6-speed Easy-R will also be on offer.
Talking about the pricing, the 2017 Nissan Terrano facelift might see a minor price jump. Currently, the compact SUV is available within the range of Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The update model is estimated to be priced between Rs 11 lakh – 14.50 lakh.
