Moto will officially launch the Moto G4 Play in India today through e-commerce retailer Amazon India. The handset will be available for purchase from tonight. Pricing has been set at Rs 8,999, which makes this a very attractive proposition, especially given the hardware on board.
Looking at the hardware, it’s quite apparent that the Moto G4 Play is a budget offering and will attract a wide range of customers. However, the quoted price of Rs 8,999 might be a tad high for this kind of hardware, so we’re hoping Moto will rethink the pricing strategy sooner rather than later.
One can say that this handset is the company’s bid for the Moto E since the lineup seems to have almost neared its end. It will be interesting to see if the Moto G4 Play will succeed in attracting the Indian customers.
