Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Price Specifications More Leaked Ahead of MWC 2017 Launch
Samsung’s launch event on February 26 at the MWC 2017 trade show later this month is widely expected to see the launch of a new tablet. Now, new details about the unannounced tablet have surfaced alongside an alleged image showing the tablet.
According to Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, widely rumoured to be the successor to the Galaxy Tab S2, will be priced around $580 (roughly Rs. 39,000). The image shared by Quandt also claims that the Galaxy Tab S3 will feature S Pen which means it will sport all stylus-based functionalities. As per the details shared by Quandt, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will come in just 9.7-inch model. To recall, Samsung launched two Galaxy Tab S2 tablets featuring 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays in 2015.
Other rumoured details suggest that the Galaxy Tab S3 will come with 32GB onboard storage and will support 4G with support for Cat. 6 LTE download speeds. The tablet is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and come with 4GB of RAM. The tablet is likely to sport a screen resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. It is expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and come with a 5-megapixel front camera.
Further, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is rumoured to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box. One of the highlights of the tablet is said to be its 5.6mm thickness. Both the Galaxy Tab S2 8 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 tablets measured just 5.6mm thin, which was the highlight of the tablets. The tablet is said to go on sale in South Korea from March.
According to the official Samsung invite, the event will be held on February 26 just ahead of the MWC 2017 trade show that kicks off a day later.
In separate news, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is being reportedly tested with Android Nougat build. GSMArena has spotted the Galaxy Tab S2 on benchmark running Android 7.0 Nougat which may mean that the update for the tablet may be released soon.
